2022 Year End Letter from Attorney Maureen O'Leary-Guth, President of O'Leary-Guth Law Office, S.C.
Dear Clients and Friends of O’Leary-Guth Law Office, S.C.,
We hope you and your loved ones are healthy and happy this holiday season.
2022 has been an exciting and busy year for O’Leary-Guth Law Office, S.C. (we call ourselves the “OLG team”). As this year nears its end, the OLG team has much to celebrate, reflect upon, and share with you.
New Location!
To better serve you, we needed a larger office building with more space for meetings, staff, events and room to grow. After much searching (and a temporary second location on Mequon Road to buy us some time), in July 2022 we purchased the perfect office building located at 1251 W. Glen Oaks Lane, Mequon, Wisconsin. After a beautiful renovation we are consolidating all our law firm operations at this new location. We can’t wait to show you around. Stay tuned for an announcement about our open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony in early 2023 (exact date to be determined).
Mequon-Thiensville Business of the Year
We are incredibly honored to be named 2022 Business of the Year by the Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce! We are recognized for our longstanding commitment to excellence while serving our clients and the community. Thank you to our clients, employees, friends, family and community members that helped us earn this award.
In addition to being named Business of the Year, the OLG team also earned the following recognitions in 2022:
- Our firm was recognized by US News and World Report on their list of best Trusts and Estates law firms in the Milwaukee area.
- Attorney Maureen O’Leary-Guth was recognized by Best Lawyers.
- Attorney Jeremy Guth was recognized by Best Lawyers.
- Attorney Peter Smiley was recognized as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
- Attorney Sam Azinger was awarded the Honorary Paul Harris Award by the Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club, the highest recognition given by the club due to Sam’s significant contributions to the community.
- Attorney Maureen O’Leary-Guth was recognized by BizTimes Milwaukee as a Notable Woman in the Law.
- Attorney Benjamin Rydecki was recognized by BizTimes Milwaukee as a Rising Star in Law.
- Attorney Alicia Bernards was recognized by BizTimes Milwaukee as a Rising Star in Law.
Expansion of Business Law Services
Attorney Jeremy Guth, founder of the award winning Praelucens Law firm, joined O’Leary-Guth Law Office, S.C. in 2022. Praelucens Law focused on business law, real estate, contracts, and other civil matters. Now that Attorney Guth has joined the OLG team, we are able to offer expanded business law and other civil law services to our clients. If you are buying or selling a business or have legal needs relating to business transactions, please contact us to discuss if we may be of service.
Continued Focus on Tax
We have continued to enhance our growing tax practice by adding another tax attorney, Benjamin Rydecki, J.D., and two CPAs to our OLG team in 2022. Ken Smith, CPA, brings us over 30 years of experience, and Shannon Iler, CPA, joins us with over 10 years of experience in tax and accounting. We are excited to add their expertise to our team.
TeamWork Program
The wide range of advice and services required to manage wealth in today’s complex world requires a team of advisors with different areas of expertise. Our Teamwork Program is intended to address this need. 2022 saw the continued growth and development of this program. You can learn more about how it works here: TeamWork Program
Staying Close to our Roots
Our firm has and will always be passionately focused on trusts and estates. To keep up with demand for estate planning and estate/trust administration, Attorney Alicia Bernards and Attorney Azene Seifoddini joined the OLG team as attorneys in 2022. Alicia and Azene join our experienced team of estate attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants so that we can be here ready to serve you when you and your family need us most. Our firm has been around for over 30 years and we are thoughtfully preparing to serve you for the next 30 years and beyond.
Is Your Estate Plan Current?
You won’t always know exactly when you are going to need your estate planning documents, but when the time comes you will want it current and organized. If you’re not sure whether your estate plan is up to date to reflect your current wishes, current tax laws, and the current trust code, we suggest you schedule a meeting with us to discuss. To schedule a meeting please give us a ring at (262) 238-6996, firm@olglawoffice.com, or stop in - we’d love to see you!
